In the early 1930’s I loved to visit my grandmother on her farm. It was fun as we all slept in the bedroom upstairs and had white glass containers if we had to go to the bathroom. In the daytime, we went outside to wooden privies (out houses). Inside was a wooden solid bench with one or two holes. When we finished, we wiped with pages from the Sears Roebuck catalog.

This is for those of you who can’t find toilet paper!
