I am a writer, mom of three college kids currently taking online classes at home, and an invasive loving bulldog, who usually thrives when everyone is home, but has decided to practice social distance.

For most of the day we are on our own, classes, work, excessive tweeting. We try to have at least one meal a day together and actually share the cooking dishes laundry detail. My son plays guitar randomly which makes the mundane beautiful. My daughters tik tok dancing wildly, grab a coffee refill and return to the virtual. Amongst the harmony there are fights, invasions of privacy, insults and perhaps a fork thrown. Almost every time some one wants to take a nap, the volume on the amp is maxed. My son is not thrilled his senior spring is being spent in the basement, and the girls turned 21 a day before the bars closed down. But, we are making the best of this, rare yet weird, time together. There are only two rules, get outside every day, no matter what, and don't hold grudges; fights will happen, resentment is worthless. There are group FaceTimes and Netflix events at random times, and happy hour at 4pm on Friday. There is always coffee and breakfast food, because like Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope, we know, "There has never been a sadness that can't be cured with breakfast food."
